Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz receives the Ibn Sina Service Award from the President
Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz, Director of the Liver Transplant Institute of İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center (TÖTM), who entered the world medical literature with 3-way, 4-way, 5-way and most recently 6-way cross liver transplants, was deemed worthy of the Ibn Sina Service Award. Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz received his award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who met healthcare workers at an iftar dinner held at the Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul on the occasion of 14 March Medicine Day, hosted Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz, who has achieved success in cross liver transplants, at his table.
At the program where successful doctors were honored, Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz received the Ibn Sina Service Award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
İnönü University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay, who attended the iftar program together with Liver Transplant Institute Director Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz, congratulated Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz, who was deemed worthy of the Ibn Sina Service Award, in a post on the social media account X.
Sharing photos from the program, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay said: "We attended the 14 March Medicine Day ceremony held under the auspices of our President and hosted by our Minister of Health. Our President gave the Ibn Sina Service Award in Surgery to our esteemed professor Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz. I congratulate our professor Sezai."
