İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center, ranked second in the world in liver transplantation, continues to admit patients from many parts of the world, especially Middle Eastern countries. The aim is for the hospital, which bears the name of the 8th President Turgut Özal and was also his dream, to move quickly toward becoming an international hospital. Patients coming especially from abroad will be treated in the International Patient Ward on the 13th floor, made more comfortable with the contributions of philanthropists at Turgut Özal Medical Center, which admits patients from many countries. The VIP International Patient Ward on the 13th floor has 13 VIP rooms and 1 suite.

İnönü University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay said that Malatya has one of the best healthcare centers in Türkiye, adding: "It is the knowledge and experience of our professors and doctors in diagnosis and treatment. Yesterday Professor Sezai showed me an email. A professor from Poland says, 'I want to send my students to you to learn liver transplantation.' They want to start liver transplantation there. Bringing a patient to Malatya is very difficult. We pick the patient up at the airport and take them back to the airport. We trust ourselves here. Wherever in the world, even the most seriously ill patient, we treat them and send them to the airport. We trust the competence of our team here. After the opening speeches, plaques of appreciation were given to the philanthropists who supported the furnishing of the International Patient Ward. After the plaque presentation, the renovated ward went into service with a ribbon-cutting.
