OBESITY SURGERY (Bariatric Surgery)

Obesity and surgery cause rapid weight loss, which leads to skin sagging.Overweight people encounter some body deformations as they lose weight.

Sagging and looseness can occur almost anywhere on the body, including the face, neck, breasts, arms, hips, groin, and thighs.

The condition of the skin is the primary root of these deformations. The issue is a reduction in the subcutaneous fat layer and skin tightness. The skin cannot adapt to this and becomes loose. Elastic fibers and collagen in the skin, which provide flexibility, expand and lengthen as weight increases.

If the weight loss process is carried out slowly, these fibers might eventually shorten and return to their original form. Being pregnant may serve as an example of this.

Excess skin on a person's body can make it difficult to choose clothes, reduce quality of life, and eventually lead to isolation from society.
